Leader of and key researcher in work package “Social Tools for Collaborative Working Environments” in the European Commission Framework 6 Framework funded project LABORANOVA - "A Collaboration Environment for Strategic Innovation" (IST-FP6-035262). Focused on the development of distributed and collaborative tools that enable the interaction between heterogeneous peers and provide a platform for managing common knowledge. Leveraging social networking concepts and ontology based models for the exchange of ideas.


Researcher for the Spanish national project InfoPoints - “Intelligent Urban Furniture” (FIT Project Number 330210 2007 53) working on the development of intelligent furniture (such as displays) that interact with user's mobile devices providing context sensible recommendations of items of interest to the user.

Researcher for the project VE Parliament (IST/PREP). Oriented to develop a distributed forum for collecting opinions and gathering common knowledge among a set of collocated or distributed peers.

2003-2006
Researcher for the European Commission EuropeAid project Alis technology network (ALA2002/049-055/2209). Focused on providing a world-wide testbed platform for applications that use Web Services, Agents, Semantic Web and other relevant techniques.

2002
Internship at EdV Multimedia Publisher. Developing a minimalistic window manager and basic tools (i.e. Internet browser) for MHP compliant set top boxes.

Internship at the Parallel Computing Laboratory at Popular University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP, Mexico). Focused on the management and maintenance of the laboratory's parallel cluster computer.
